Located on Lake Batur, Pura Ulun Danu Batur is the second most important temple complex of Bali, after the Mother Temple  Besakih.

Built in 1926, the Pura Ulun Danu Batur is a complex made up of 9 temples and a total of 285 shrines. It represents the direction of North and is dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu and Dewi Danu, the goddess of Lake Batur. This is the largest lake in Bali and the main source of water for the island's agricultural activity. 

As well as an architectural and cultural wonder, this temple is also worth a visit for its magnificent surrounding landscape, where you can enjoy views of the beautiful Lake Batur and the impressive Batur Volcano.
